What is Messy Church?
Messy Church is a form of church for children and adults that involves creativity, celebration and hospitality. It’s primarily for people who don’t already belong to another form of church. It meets at a time and a place that suits people who don’t already belong to church.
What do we do at Messy Church?
Messy Valentine
Another great afternoon at Messy Church. We had lots of fun doing a variety of activities and crafts based around the theme ‘Love God with all your heart and love your neighbour as yourself’ These included decorating Valentine heart shaped biscuits, making prayer pretzels, also heart shaped prints and cards. As well as learning about the two greatest commandments Rev Emma also involved everybody in a love feast where we shared cake and love heart sweets together. We ended the session with a short prayer and a couple of songs about how much God loves us.
A big thank you to all those leaders and helpers who put in such a lot of time and effort to make this event such a big success. Thank you too, to all the families who came and helped to make it such a successful event. Our next Messy Church is Messy Easter which will be on Palm Sunday 13th April 4 – 6pm.
